I say it could be a keeper -- wife says it's trash ( Actually her exact words were "It's just a picture of her eye") ... Let me know

Erm I its good perspective, I'm assuming your wife's views arnt so artistic and just wants a 'snapshot', but either way, the more shots the better, keep what you like, keep what she likes, dont throw them out. You dont get anymore chances to reshoot those moments once the babe's grown up.

I'd keep it. :) Along with a few thousand more you will take during the next year. ;)

children are just a great way for people to get into photography and also express themselves - of course its a keep btw, how could you ditch that ;)

Yes, the baby is definitely a keeper!! LOL
Sure, keep the shot. What is the cost? Learn what you like frm it and what you dont. Eliminate the stuff you don't like in future images. Keep the stuff you do. Soon you are a master! : )

I'd keep it (what are you gaining from getting rid of it other than a few megabytes on your computer) but it's kind of a weird shot.

I'd definitely keep it. It's a beautiful shot and I like it a lot. Actually, if it were me, it be hanging in my office wall.

I agree that its a weird shot - and very unflattering to the baby - I don't think one's baby is a suitable subject for the 'arty crafty'- I would bin it!
I'm sure that more conventional compositions will produce some lovely photos that will be a happier momento to look back on.

Keeper
have you tried it in B&W cos it looks better. I'd also crop some of the dead space on the left

I think its a beautiful picture. Definately keep it. I would have it framed and on the wall also.

It's an interesting perspective but I tend to agree with your wife.
For me it's not a keeper for the following reasons;
1. The white balance is off.
2. The eye is not in focus.
3. The top of the head has been cropped.
These are personal opinions, many will like the creamy white balance and soft focus.
You pays your money etc.

don't delete the pic, but try and get a better one with the same idea. Close but not quite.
