Went for a brisk walk the other weekend which gave me the oportunity to try out my new 70-200L. I think this is going to be my favourite lens! This was one of my first shots with it and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, I like the line of light which is being caused by the large sea wall out of sight to the left. Also that great depth of field which almost gives the shots a 3D feel. A short while after taking this shot the heavens opened so back in the bag it went. I'm hoping it's a nice day tomorrow so I can get out and try it out at the local footy match.

Great start with the new lens Paul. Keep up the good work :D
The range on the lens enables you to be far away enough as not to put the subject off or to know they are in the frame. Look forward to more photos.

Why on Earth is she wearing that hideous hat from such a treacherous and wicked baseball team?

Isn't that lens just about the best thing you have ever held in your hands.

Even with this being cropped a fair bit the detail is pretty impressive I think! First time I'd used it for an action shot and it performed amazingly. Shot was handheld (and my lens is the NON IS version!). I'm hopefully (weather permitting) going to use it Friday for a night match so it'll be interesting to see how it performs, I'll post the results over in the sport section.
Thanks for all your comments, my wife has several hats from various States - next time I'll take requests :-)
