new car

i got a new car!!! i was in a wreck on the 14th of jan.
here are the pix from that:

they went ahead and totalled it out.
it was a 1995 Dodge ram. I was sandwiched when a guy behind me on the highway failed to watch traffic. i was shoved into the truck in front of me, which suffered no damage, thank god. I'm doing ok, was sore and first and still have a few pains. We got 5700 for the truck which is good, we thought we'd get less. So i took that and a bit of my income tax return and put 7000 on this:

it's a 2002 VW Jetta 1.8Turbo, it has the same engine as my girlfriends Audi A4 1.8T.
i didn't take the pic, but i should have plenty of mine to show off soon enuf.

Nice car too! 1.8T engine is sooooo moddable. I guess you should wait till your warranty's over though. You can get up to 300WHP on stock internals :D (The turbo's gonna go before the engine will)

Tom, yes and the budget of the girlfriend. but i'll be ok.
bosamar, we kinda were, and it sucked signing the release form for it to be totalled. kinda glad my dad didn't do it, cause i know it would have hurt him even more.
KevC, thanks yeah i'm doing alright, i see the doc on monday to see what he thinks.
it is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally nice to drive and i love the Tiptronic, it'll help me get over losing the stick shift. My friend has already sent me tons of links to products and info on the cars. hopefully one day i'll be able to make it very purrdy.

I hope you enjoy it as much as you did the truck, and think how much it will make you appreciate your old truck when its going again, and how much you will save on gas :cool:


And make sure the Doc follows up on ANY pain you may have.
I was in a smash at easter 2003, I had some pain for about a week afterwards that I thought had gone away. I now have slightly reduced movement in my left shoulder and neck, occasional pain down my whole left arm, and Iv had one major migrain, all from not getting proper treatment for whiplash.

belmondo, it's still sitting as a frame. it's winter and i'm stuck still the weather warms up. but i think about it everyday.

George, i'm kinda doing both. cruzing it and rushing it around, it's very fun to drive.

Moppie, hahaha I don't think she'd go for that. yes it would. the VW people probably wouldn't like me. yeah i wish i could on it now and get it done. would have been nice to spend all this money on the truck and not on a new car, but yes i'll save lots, maybe. hehhe

yeah i see doc today. i've been having a little bit of pain in my tailbone when i sit for too long. and sometimes it feels like i've kicked a wall with my foot. hopefully we'll find out how bad i am today.
