Evening All,
After some helpful comments from Mr Joffan here, this trip was to mainly focus (sigh) on trying to improve the DoF of my shots before DTM on Sunday.
Comments Welcome.

I was there as well - very near you probably. The Club F3 races were crackers weren't they.

Shan't! Actually can't at the moment - forgot to bring my laptop power cord with me and it's running low on juice. Will post some later.
The two front runners in ClubF3 - Jowsey and Steele are on the ascendancy and heading for professional drives and are clearly super talented drivers. Most people say you can't chuck Dallaras about and you have to be precise and controlled (don't know - ours isn't ready yet) but they were!

i like that look of concentration on #3.
2 would've been nice if it was framed differently. slightly wider to show more of the corner might work better.

Hi there,
Thanks for the comment.
I think I do suffer from this a bit in that I feel the object has to be smack bang in the centre of the frame.

Pete - were you aware that the last image was used in the programme for the Britcar24 hour race? You were credited in the small print at the front...

Good idea.
In a somewhat utopian ideal world, I would have thought they'd have the courtesy of asking for permission first, but no, they stole your image and a photo credit, whilst some consolation, doesn't compensate for the fact they they nicked it in the first place.
Did you post these images anywhere else or give copies to anyone in the Alfa world?

There were a few on alfaracer.com including the one in question but i had no idea about Britcar using it...guess this really should be a lesson to any one posting who expects fees for their snaps.

It means they have people scouring forums for free images and working on the basis that most of the time they get away with it, and they'll only get found out a small number of times
I saw the programme, thought the shots familiar (I'd got one similar from the same meeting), then remembered this thread.
Congrats on being published anyway. Hope you get some dosh.

if i remember correctly when you sign the accreditation form it says that you are letting britcar can use any of your photos.
and if you didnt have media accrediation then the ticket says you arent allowed to sell your shots anyway...
so its a bit of a no win situation.
worth a try though!

Yeh,
I definately wasn't signed on, but I allowed alfaracer.com to use some shots for there site, no money involved.
Receieved the program from Britcar today, along with an invoice for it!
Will not be paying it.... :S

Lol at the invoice - too right about not paying for it...
I've had a few shots used in race programmes and whenever I've asked for a copy for my records its always been sent free of charge. After the event they're effectively worthless anyway.
I would also suggest asking/telling alfaracer.com that giving them permission to use your photos on their website is one thing, but then handing them over to another person or organisation without asking is a bit naughty - but if the images were simply stolen then thats another matter. I'd possibly try and find out who compiled the programme and ask them where/how they got the pictures.
