Fabulous shots Dave, especially the crickets an the frog.

The lighting is just a touch on the bright side with the grasshoppers but I get that sometimes when I photograph the grasshoppers that I have in our garden (same ones as yours). It doesnt help that these grasshoppers are pretty hairy and seem to attract the sun and the flash light even if you get the rest of the shot ok. You should be able to just darken it a little bit though in post processing.

Nice to have 3 grasshoppers together for a shot :-)

Lovely series- agree with Linda- the grasshoppers do look a little harsh but the others seem fine.

nice series, i agree about the harshness of the first few...but they are not bad. :-)
#3 seems like a bit of a stretch, lol - nice fitting all that in -less the antennae of course ;-)

and i love the froggie eyes. awesome details!
