What an awesome weekend. Bumped into JT and had a nice chat with him on Friday. The weekend couldn't have turned out any better. Picture perfect weather for the entire week including the private test days on Monday and Tuesday.

Was an awesome experience; I'm still not quite there in terms of eyeing things, but I made some slight adjustments to what I took over the entire weekend.

Here are 8 pics from the event.

6, 7 and 8 do it for me. 7 especially though do you have something wider showing a little bit of track behind the vette? It's almost got that floating look to it like he's going Duke's of Hazard style off the track haha :) 8 is great though, very nice shot. Was that up in the corner of 5b/5c on the hillside behind the giant billboard?

Looks like the Sigma's being a little nicer to you eh?

7 I have a bunch of. That's my only one with the back end of the car where it is. The rest they're JUST over the crest and a part of the car is clipped. So yah I guess to answer your question, I do have some where there is asphalt behind the car. Actually, you're absolutely right. The asphalt makes it a stronger picture. Turn 4 is actually a damn nice place for pictures. The backdrop isn't as nasty as 2 now that they have that stupid catch fence there.

I tried to do the angle of 8 again during the race weekend; wasn't happening. Someone put a green ez-up at the exact spot where I shot that from on 5b. Boy was I pissed :D

Replaced a vette with a Porsche with asphalt :D

Cool, yeah there's something about rear shots that just needs that extra negative space to make it feel like the car is coming from somewhere.

Actually, I think that applies to both front and rear shots. I have a few where the car is a tad close to the bottom corners and it takes away from the picture. (similar to pic #1, but closer to the corner of the frame)

#3 has a nice menacing feel to it. And the last one I like as its different - the car passing behind the bushes

I wasn't sure if he was taking a nap or what the heck he was looking at  His back was towards pitlane and there were cars out on track (in particular HIS car was on track). Yet he was just sitting there motionless for a good minute or so.
