D&N are long-time folkies, and formed 2/3 of Galaxie 500 (http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:difexqe5ldke). they often play w/ japanese musicians (last year they toured w/ Boris, and Ghost guitarist Michio Kurihara played w/ both bands), and this time around it was Ghost leader Batoh along w/ Helena from Espers. great stuff, really beautiful.

Hey Tim. Good stuff. Too bad it was TT's. I think #4 is the best, but I also like #2. There's a lot going on in #4, and it pulls your eyes through very well. Excellent excellent shot!
#1 is a great moment, but it seems like the face is a tad soft. It almost seems like in #1 and #4 the mic stand looks more in focus then anything else.... might be me though.

You've certainly made good use of that 5D! These are very nice. I like 1 & 5.

thanks Dwight and Phil!

the 5D is about perfect for small clubs...ff and excellent high ISO performance is what you really need for the small, dark places. and now that i've got a 35L, i'm extremely happy...:D

Well Done.. Beautiful shots. really nice color, especially the skin tones.. knowing how lighting in these places can be. Good Job.

the sigma 30 is a fantastic lens, and one i'd still have if i didn't go FF...and at 1/3 the price of the L, it's a great deal too. as long as you get an accurate copy (which is why you should buy used from a reputable seller, and save even more $!).

joayne, thanks!

As a set, this is real good... The mikes seem to have jumped out of your way... and the face expressions are real good... Must have been "your day". Good job.
