Hey, those are nice looking pics. Funny to see a banded robin. #2 is perfect.

That is a very small bird, don't think it's a robin though.
It's cute. I will try to ID it.

Edited to add:
wheew...it's no easy feat IDing birds, I think it is a type of warbler because of the thin sharp bill, but I'm not sure.

Nice shots . . . I might give Robins a try when they come back in April or May. I might have my SF9000 up and going by then.

Very, very nice shots!
Jemmind ... it's a European robin - quite a different bird than our American robin.

Thought i'll just add the settings
These shots(and the jackdaw),were shot on a really overcast day,so the light was rubish:confused:

Robins make great subjects. I love your pics. What lens did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Robins - the American ones at least - are predominantly ground-feeders, so an SF9000 is not ideal. However, you can always place a small flat surface near the top and throw some mealworms on it. The robins will love you.

What's that on his right ankle? An ID tag?

Ah that explains it.
It's VERY different than ours here.
Also tells me why it wasn't in my bird book:)

The Robin shots are very nice indeed - I too am curious about the tag on it's leg - I wasn't aware that this type of bird could be tagged; can anyone throw any light on this?
The 'bird gallery' by 'LazyPhotographer' is an amazing collection - I have bookmarked the website so I can study it at leisure.
