Been awhile since I posted, not much going on until this weekend for the performance scene. So here is the first show in a couple months. Default. I was a little disapointed I could not get front row and had to settle for second so there are a few heads in the pictures, cropped out as much as I could.

First 5 I used a 16-35L 2.8 last 3 were a 70-200L 2.8 non-IS

Given the lack of light these are excellent! The looks a bit soft ... but maybe you were focusing on the cell phones! :-)

lol ya the cell phones are hilarious. Your right about the lights. I was impressed they turned out as well as they did. I think I could have sharpened them a little more.

Hey Z, nice to see a fellow Kingstonian on here, and I am shooting my first concert tomorrow night for a friend, and I aspire to someday shoot as well as you. I'll post up some of my shots after. Maybe we can get to shoot together sometime, as it seems pretty rare to see someone from so close on here......

Number 7 is my choice from this set... Slightly more guitar in pic #2 would help... Interesting set.

Thanks John. I cropped #2 down so much to cut out the girl that was standing in from of me. You can still see a bit of the top of her head unfortuntaly. I was trying something different and instead of shooting only from the sides I tried it from infront of the stage. Just could not get quite close enough.

Yes I like number 7 as well. I can even remember seeing that shot before it happened. Getting good at anticipating the picture before I see it.
