I took this picture on a very cold Northern California morning at a wildlife conservation site. Picture was taken using a 10D with a 70-200mm f/2.8L IS and a 2x extender. I think the extender does not allow for as crisp of a shot as I would like. How much is the 600? J/K ;) Any comments on my picture? Thanks for looking! :D

I think it's a fine shot that just needs a touch of contrast and a bit more sharpening.

By the way, I like the composition, too. Playing with the image I noticed that the background changed dramatically on me, and I didn't like it nearly as much as the original. But play with it a bit - it's worth it.

It looks like a Western Meadowlark.
