Pendragon Stages Rally 2008

Bank holiday weekend saw the fifth running of the Pendragon Stages Rally over in Penrith in Cumbria. The rally is sponsored by Stobart Rail and one of the company directors, Willie Stobart has won the rally 4 times in the last 5 years (I think) although he does have a fleet of world rally cars at his disposal. Because part of the rally takes place on the tank testing ranges at Warcop where no video or photographs are allowed I was restricted to the old Lowther wildlife park, anyway onto some photos

#7 for me Ian, that's an absolute cracker of a shot. As action shots go that's one of my favourites so far this year.

Shot 7 is class!

Both driver and co-driver looking out of side window,grass flying up,opposite lock,wheel in air and a pan shot.

I thought the Fenwick Skoda shot was pretty fair dinkum,then really liked the flying 106,and was knocked out by the Orange Escort shot. Fantastic action and a show stopper.

Grew up with MK11's then Group B. Kinda went downhill for me once they were banned.

Thanks for the comments guys, the orange MKII's moment lasted for quite a distance and at the start I did think he could roll as he was on 2 wheels at the start but luckily he managed to catch it and go on to finish the rally
