Help please, "corrupt file"

can anyone help please?
i have been using a canon ixus 750, recently took a lot of photos at a festival and when i came to view these pics i seem to have lost a lot of the pictures, all i get is "corrupt file", i have tried to download the pics to my PC and still the same, i have tried numerous "recovery downloads" but still no joy, when i open the files properties there is a file size etc so i presume there is something there, i am a bit of a novice so any advice would be grateful, (please note the files were coming up "corrupt" when viewed on the camera before they uploaded to PC, also is it possible to have the pics recovered professionally??)

sounds like your sd card has packed up, your camera will continue writing to the card(which accounts for the file size in properties) but no program will be able to recover it if this is reason,im no expert myself but have had corrupt cards, try putting in another sd card and take some pics ,if they turn out ok chances are its the card
