I was curious if anyone had any experience with this light kit on Ebay?

I've read about other positive experiences with Link Delight on remotes, etc. but haven't seen any comments or found any on these light kits.

From the ad, this is a TINY softbox

For this flash kit, we select three studio light aluminum alloy stands, one 60 x 90cm soft box

I have owned something similar to that set but I bought it as a lets see if I will like doing studio stuff. I went in with the knowledge that I might be throwing the money out the window. That is pretty much what I did. I was able to get acceptable shots with it but the recycle times on the lights killed me and they were too little light ( I had a set with the smaller lights in the link) and had to be at full power most of the time to do what I wanted. I ended up pretty much giving them to my aunt and bought some Photogenics. I have been very happy with them so far. I got a two light kit and a Sekonic L-358 on ebay for just over what the price on that set is. You could also look at Alienbees. The beginner bee package is only a single light and is a little more than that kit but is solid equipment. I know several people who use them. The Genisis kits ( http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=437877&highlight=genisis ) have gotten pretty good reviews and the two light kit is somewhere near the price of the ebay kit.

I bought a kit even cheaper than that almost two years ago. I think it was about $130 or so and came with 40w/s strobes. I still am using the umbrellas and lightstands that came with it, so it wasn't a total loss.

What I wish I would have done: gone the strobist route with Sunpak 383's or Vivitar 285's right away. You can get a nice start on a strobist kit with that money instead. You wouldn't really outgrow a mobile strobist kit, so there wouldn't really be a chance of the gear becoming useless to you.

If you got this ebay package, and end up wanting something nicer, the ebay package would be useless.
