View Full Version : Sportbike - WAY too soft, any saving for it?

Went riding recently, noticed a photographer taking some pictures.
I did my research, tracked him down and found the guy.
The preview pic he gave me before I bought (all rights) was small so it looked sharp.
I asked about the exif, he told me it was 1/80th -- Good panning! I said.
Ugh.
Anyway, I own all rights to this picture. Just wondering what you guys can do to sharpen it.
Here is the original he gave me (super soft IMHO - More so when I know what I paid for it)

Here's my edit - Is it too much?:

Thanks!

I think your edit looks pretty good...at this size.
If the full res sharpened up this much, I'd be pretty happy with it.

Your body position needs a bit of work, loosen the arms....Wait, wrong forum.
I like it, I'll agree that if it's that good full size I'd be happy. Looks great the way the road is reflected in your visor. My one suggestion would be to remove the military pass. Not saying you should hide that you're military (Thanks BTW.) it just detracts a little from the bike.

To much sharpening in my opinion. As the glow you have around yourself and the bike is distracting me.
Off topic as a fellow rider id suggest leather pants next time you go that low. I have slid off my bike going 170kmph in jeans and it didn't feel so great afterwards :(

Agree 100%. I'd tone it down just a bit.
+1 on the off topic part.^^^

slid off my bike going 170kmph in jeans Just "Slid off"? As in, there I was just minding my own business & "Auto park" kicked in? :D To much sharpening in my opinion. Too much for me. too. There's no rule that says that you have to sharpen all of an image? Select the important parts with a feathered selection, like the helmet, arms, & name on the front, & just sharpen that area. Maybe give the helmet an extra hit.
I like the Polygonal Lasso Tool for that.
