Powershot Pro1 lens.

Ive noticed a little button near the bottom of the camera which is used to detach the lens from the body of the camera. Is this only for cleaning purposes or are there lenses I can buy for the camera?

It most likely just removes the ring so you can add a mount and TC over the existing lens.

Yeah, just removes the adapter ring not the entire lens. This is a fixed lens camera.

According to the review HERE (http://www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/pro1.html) a lens adapter that will allow you to add different lenses or filters is available. I would assume the adapter would be installed in place of the ring. At least that's how it works on my S1 and on the other Canons that I looked at.
