Does anyone else really love the service they get from canon CPS in the usa? Everytime I need something they always come through for me. I needed a fast body (1d mark 3) for a shoot that came up out of no where with 3 days advance. I contacted them and i had a 1dmark3 sitting at my front door. I've had my IS on my 400 go out and they shipped me a loaner for 2 weeks while they repaired mine. Free cleanings are great too. I even got one of those cool Canon 1D monopod things. Anyone else have the same experience?

Nope, but I'm not a CPS member either. What do you need to become a member anyways?

you need to be a professional photographer, aka photography being your main source of income, have refrences to back up that you are professional, and other stuff, being a cps member is for just that, professionals

How do I sign up? Can't seem to find anything on the Canon website. Btw, sorry for kind of hijacking your thread. Didn't mean to...

I do. I have a 200 2L coming to give a test to in a couple weeks..

Great service. I had a problem with one on my 5Ds that was still under warranty. I sent it for repair on Sat had it back fixed on the following Thursday.

Getting a 1Ds series loaner is not as easy as it once was but otherwise great service. We had a 1Ds MkII shutter break on a Monday, sent it out the next day and got it back on Friday morning. Another time we sent one in for a cleaning and replacement of the firewire connection, they found dead pixels on the sensor and replaced it for free. All said, very happy with CPS.

Sadly it's a bit more stringent than what was laid out.

This is the Oz site but i believe it's the same here in the states.

Yeah, I checked and the only thing missing is a pro body. Oh well...

I could get a 1D classic for ~$400 though!

I think it says two 1D bodies. Heck, even the poor 5D gets only limited coverage.
