I dont know how you guys feel about stock sites, from the .20 cents to the 100$ price of stock sites and what not, but this is the second time I seen someone tell people to "go check out shutterstock" in a forum, completely concealing the fact that its a referal link, and they are there to make money off YOU. Heres how :

Refer Photographers to ShutterStock Submit

Make money by referring other photographers! If you sign up a photographer - that photographer will receive $0.20 on their photo downloads - and you will receive $0.03 on their downloads! You could make money by merely promoting the ShutterStock Submit Program! All you have to do is have them visit the link customized for your account below. A cookie will be stored on their computer so that they could sign up within 30 days - and you will still receive credit! As long as they continue to be a member, you will continue to make money off of their photos!

so before clicking a link like that, if you really wana check it out, strip off the name and just goto submit.shutterstock.com , if you have any problems against people making money off your work other than the company hosting you.

Thanks for the 'heads up.' The thread in question has been deleted as will any other similar solicitations.

Whenever you see a thread that is obvious SPAM, notify a moderator...don't wait for us to find it. We could miss it, so you'll be doing everyone a favor.

Thanks,

Tom

Dad blame it Tom that means you deleted my post on that thread. So let me repeat it here......

WOW you mean I can make 20 cents off a shot a magazine might use instead of contacting me and my chrarging them several hundred dollars. Boy think of all the money they could save if I would use a site like that huh?

Jeff:

I just killed the whole thread. I could've deleted the link and the name of the outfit in question and left the thread, but that would've caused some folks to go looking for it just out of curiosity.

Sorry if I caused you inconvenience.

Nah....I'm not, really.

BTW, I agree with you about the $.20 thing.

Yeah, but I still want my $.03 for doing nothing. Now, that's what I call easy money.
