Nice Shot

It looks like a pre-'71 Commando (perhaps indicated by his number) with Dunstall add-ons (clip-ons, front fender, exhausts, tank/seat & side covers). I have a '71 Roadster so I have a special fondness for Nortons.

Have Fun,

Hi Rick,

Thanks ! Yes you are right, it is a 1968 model. I would love one ! I have a collection of bikes but nothings as old as this, the oldest being a 1977 BMW R100S.

Other Nortons at the race included a 1962 Atlas, 1952 Manx, 1953 ES 2 and 1956 40M Manx.

Happy shooting and riding !

Rudi,

Thanks for the link. I started to run through it, but I think I'll save it until after I shovel the snow that came down overnight. Just what I need on a cold winter day, and an incentive to get it done quickly.

Have Fun,

Hi Rick,

Hope you enjoy the photos, good luck with the snow, funny to think of snow sitting here in the heat !

I love these old bikes, I do a bit of racing myself but on a lot more modern stuff, currently I ride a Yamaha R1 but I think a change of pace would be great.

Regards,
Rudi
