Me and my pals went out for a little ride. I was not really planning on shooting anything, but Seth insisted that i get a shot of this rail. I'm glad he did.

Then my other friend who was riding the park near the rail realized what we were doing and had to get in on the action. He rides pegless btw!

This was his first shot at it.

He wrecked but hey it looks gnarly!

Then he nailed it.

Hey why not just hop over the rail.... Oh noes my flash didn't fire.... I was mad.... then i look at the shot on camera..... SWEET!

And my flash tripods that recruited as I saw them walking down the road. They loved it.

That was it for that night...

Then the next day we went to this wallride spot.

Colby was shredding it.

Then Bj shut it down with a wallride to whip.

I like all the shots. The "flash didn't fire", "tripods portrait" and "Colby shredding it" shots I like best.

some very nice stuff, specially the accident. you need another flash gun though and I think that would have made all the difference. I'd also like to see you shooting a touch closer to the action. Sure, you want to show the size sof the rail, wall, whatever but don't do it at the expense of emphasizing your real subject, the rider.

Wall to whip, huh? Sick!

Thanks for the tips namasste. Yeah i really do need another flash, I already have 2 skyport recievers, just trying to decide what flash i want to get next.

fwiw, the Vivitar 285HV flash guns do really well with the Skyports. I liked mine so much that I got a second one and started only using my "good" flash (a Sigma 530 Super) for people shots and whatnot but not action. The Vivs are durable and cheap ($70 should get ya one). I'd highly recommend it as a workhorse,

Wait so you are using a 285HV with skyports?! I heard they didn't work with skyports...

well, then I must have the magic ones . not sure where you heard that bud but they work like a Shaolin Monk. Get em and cord from Lon at Flashzebra.com and you are money.
