Which one looks better, the color or the black and white one. Also what can I do to make it look better.

I personally like the B&W. I did one of these of my daughter as a newborn (a few weeks old) with film (now all digital). I still have it hanging on my wall and she's three. What I like about the B&W: The contrast due to the lighting seems more pronounced, while I think the actual skin texture appears softer. Wonderful photo. Shoot as many of these as either of you can tolerate - different lighting, different poses (as much as they'll pose for you), etc. Shoot color and convert (assuming you're shooting digital) that way you can easliy have either.
