I was walking around the Minnesota State Fair taking night shots, and stumbled upon an opportunity to shoot music in the form of an 80s cover band:

Band doesn't look like too much, but the images are quite good!

Thanks.
I just wandered in with a 70-200mm lens on my camera. Not particularly ideal considering the cramped space I was working with, but, the opportunity was there, so I nabbed what I could.

Wow, I haven't seen hair like that since.... since.... since... well, honestly, I'm too young to have seen hair like this in person......
:D Sorry if I made anyone feel old. :D
Great shots by the way. the 70-200mm is a great lens. Did you have the f2.8 version?

Actually, what you're witnessing are wigs.
Yeah, my lens is a straight f/2.8- the Tamron version. Probably not on par with the Canon versions due to occasional mis-focusing, but great optics never the less.

I was hoping and praying those were wigs!

That lens does look good, just been read a review and it came out positive

Ironically, I've read a few reviews that didn't put the lens over so well right after I bought it, but decided to keep it anyhow.
I've got to say that the autofocus isn't as accurate as I'd care for, but manually focusing is easier than I expected.

Just the fact that you don't say how old you are shows how young you are! :-) I'm 63. Oh, and I'm just off this minute to shoot John Fogerty!

In a twist of cruel irony, I've got access to many world famous bands, I just can't shoot any of them thanks to an f'd up contract that precludes me from making an actual living at what I excell at. Long story short, I work for a club that has piss poor management in regards to photographer/club relations, ironclad contracts that guarantee zero compensation and all.
