Existing Light Class Photo

This is an image I took during an existing light class I took a few days ago. That's why he's not looking at me. I don't really know how to edit, other than with the tools in the Canon program, so it's pretty bare.

This is only my second post, where my first post was a question, so keep in mind I'm somewhat a newbie with artistic photography.

Looks pretty spot on to me, Trish. What's the secret, lots of reflectors?

Thanks a lot for the encouragement.
I didn't use any reflectors or additional lighting. I just found an angle to shoot from that complimented his face with lighting. There weren't that many to choose from since many others were in the class with me. I used my 70-200mm at about f/4.5 at 6:45pm. :)

I like this capture. I especially like the modeling that the lights produced. The double catch-lights in the eyes suggest the use of more than one light source. The reduced light-ratio is an asset to the result. It matters not if multiple light sources were used. The main thing is the end result and the end result is very nice. You did good.

Apart from what appears to be a slight colour-cast, (maybe a tweak on white-balance), I would say you did pretty good there...

EXIF says 1/60 : f5.6 : ISO400 : 200mm... I guess you using a tripod? If not - SUPERB job !

Thank you all so much for your criticism and comments.
I didn't use a tripod for that. I just made one out of my arms with the way I folded them and i sat on the ground.

I also tried to enhance the image a little in the canon program that came with the camera. My monitor is not calibrated, so the color-cast is probably a result of that.
