The pic is very nice. Looks a little noisy maybe?
As to ID, where was this taken? My books are predominantly Eastern US so they won't help if you're elsewhere...

UK,but he could of came from anywhere in the world i spose(thats why theres no pic in my "UK" bird book).

Oops, I cross -refernced tothe wrong plate it is actually a
Ruddy-headed Goose (Chloephaga rubidiceps)
native to Southern South America.
