After much trying I finally managed to bait some wasps with a small piece of raw fish. The wasps were biting off small chunks and carrying them back to their nest.
Last shot is a 14 shot animation and may take a while to load.

Good series, they need all the help they can get this summer - seem to be very few around.

Very nice. Were they flying away with the big chunks of fish to lay eggs in, or were they eating it?

Thanks for the comments all :)
Think it was someone else on this forum that suggested baiting them with fish :)
Illusionist - think the lack of shadows is partly because I was shooting many of these on the arm of a white plastic sunchair which tends to scatter the light well.
