to take it to an airshow next weekend, but I have a feeling that a new model will be announced very soon! And it doesn't help that B&H offering 5% off thru live.com or J&R 15% off!!

FL from 120/150/200 to 400/500/(600?!!) at f/4-5.6, with newer IS and faster focusing, weather sealed.... it's just around the corner, I can feel it!!

My wonderful 70-200 2.8IS becomes so blurry with my cheapo Pro Optic 2x extender... worth getting a Canon 1.4x or 2x extender for the airshow? What do you think??

I woul dso get the canon 2x converter rather than a 100-400. Optical quality wide open is just as good and it will cost you a bundle less.

have a look at my website. The Spa Grand Prix are all with the 70-200 f2.8 and a 2x converter.....good enough for yah????

Wow, must say looks pretty good! I couldn't wait and just ordered 1.4x extender - I may return that and get a 2x extender (or get 2x and see what the quality is like). Thanks for the samples, because they ARE much better than I expected (i.e. people calling "soft")
