I've got an assignment to do one of those nice looking pictures and somehow integrate meaningful text either on or off the shot. (Something other than a caption.) Like those cute little pictures where there's a little girl beside her bed and it says "wish" or something along those lines. I threw this together a few nights ago and set it aside. I like the shot and I even like the concept to a degree but I don't know that I like the styling of the text. I don't know if it should be more or less simple or what. If there's any way you think I could improve it, I'd really like to know. Right now I think it's ok, but I'd love to bump it up to good or great quality before the project is due (many weeks from now.) Thanks for your help.

I don't think it's all that bad, the only thing I would change is having the text running over the edge of the case on the right. It kinda gets lost.

I tried playing with that when I made it but for some reason couldn't (read: didn't have the patience to) make it look right. I'll have to play with that some more.
Would you edit the text in any way other than moving it or just leave it as it is?

you could put a rectangular mask behind the words that blurs the background a little

too many words.I would go with "It's the soul that matters"

Yeah, I like the idea. I think that maybe you should stay away from using the word "thing". I think even just replacing "thing" with "it" would be good. ANd maybe make sure the text doesn't run onto the side of the case, as it gets lost a little there.
That said, I like the shot and the guitar.
