The way A-Rod's been playing lately... that's a rare shot!
(Spoken by a White Sox fan with a Red Sox fan girlfriend, so really don't like the Yankees!)

That's very funny. And unfortunately true. This shot resulted in a foul ball and Alex went 0-4 yesterday. Thanks to Giambi we pulled off a bottom of the ninth come from behind win.

I was there for the Subway series recentely. We got the Yankees at Yankees stadium 15-6 but the Yanks got us right back 9-0 the same night at Shea. I traveled from California for the game. I'm a diehard Metropolitan fan.........Good times.

Nice shot there...Here's one I got from my sons game earlier this summer...The ball is actually squished into the bat.

Very good question. I didn't want any problems so I e-mailed a question through the Yankee website asking specifically if I could bring the 300 2.8. I received a generic reply stating that it may be best to actually call the office which I did. After accurately describing what I was planning on bringing into the game I was told in no uncertain terms that it would be NO PROBLEM as long as I didn't bring the carrying case or a monopod. Of course I asked if I could get that in writing and of course I was told that it wouldn't be necessary.
So on game day I approached the gate holding my breath almost anticipating a problem getting in with a big lens. After all if I was denied entry I wouldn't get to shoot such a historic game (last game vs. Boston in the current stadium) not to mention that I would have been worried the entire game about such an expensive lens left in the car. Luckily I walked right through without question.
But then after sitting in my seat for about 30 minutes I was tapped on the shoulder by an official looking gentleman who said that someone in the Yankee organization told him to speak to me. He said that in the future I wasn't allowed to bring in "professional" equipment. I quickly told him about my recent correspondance and was given conflicting information. He tried to explain that "there is a certain length" that can't be exceeded and that they typically use the "elbow to the wrist" as a gauge. Well, that didn't go over very well with me. In a nice but direct way, I questioned whether he was just making this up and who's arm do they use, and whether any of this was in writing. The answer was no, there was nothing in writing. He was polite but I wasn't very happy that I was being hassled even after taking such precautions. In the end, he came off as if he was doing me a favor by letting me slide this time.

That's when you get the name and contact information of the person you spoke with and then refer the "official looking gentleman" to that person for questions. You handled yourself and the situation well.
