I hope this is in the right place, but i am just starting out in photography. I am looking to buy my first digital camera, and i am cery interested in this one. What do you guys/gals think about it? Is it a good camera? Anyone have one/ever had one? Please share your experiences. Thanks! The Camera isKodak EasyShare M863 8.2MP Zoom Digital CamerThanks In Advance! Or, would you recomend anyother good cameras to begin with? I want it to be good, but not extremely expensive, and not to confusing.

Welcome to the forums... uhmm.. I had a Kodak half a dozen years ago all I remember about it was that it was very easy to use and ate AA batteries to an extreme degree.. (I mean two under an hour) so I would watch out for that. But, this is a Canon forum so you would have more luck in the appropriate area, ofcourse you'd probably be recomended the Canon Point and shoots... ;)

If you want to get serious into photography a dslr will open up more options for taking pictures in different conditions. A cheap Nikon D40/D60/D80 / Canon Rebel XT/XTI/XSI should be good.

Good point. Are you looking for a point and shoot or leaning more towards a DSLR?
