I am shooting the SCCA club race at Barber Motorsports Park. Yesterday was Test & Tune so I took some time to try something different. C&C welcome.

Your experiment seems to have paid off in #2 Jamie!
I see you are also struggling to keep your sensor clean!

Thanks. Yes I am. I just dread doing a wet cleaning.

Looks like you need to use your rocket blower to get those pesky spiders out of that 40D too.

I'd say 3 and 4 are the opposite of panning

Number 2 works for me.
I think with three and four, you need to find a shutter speed somewhere in between these two. I'm also not "sold" on the Coca Cola banner being enough of an anchor to use this technique.
Here's a similar shot I did at Limerock last year:

Thanks John.
I can't say that I disagree about the Coca Cola banner being an anchor - but at least I chose the one with the spiders ;). I shot some similar Sunday from turn 6 with the big spider in the Background. I have not got any of those PP yet. I am not sure that it will work any better aside from the fact it is a BMP icon. I'll post one up and let you see. BTW the bridge shot is what inspired me to try this.

I probably do. I have not edited that class yet. I should get to them tonight. I'll shoot you a pm after I get home. Is that you driving?

Thanks.
No, it wasn't me driving. I just have one prepped for auto-x (CSP), will be SM2 in a few years. My brother has one as well, also CSP prepped.
