I am sure this has been covered but I haven't found it yet. I am going to be shooting a couple car shows coming up and one will also have racing so I want to be able to switch things up pretty quick but I am not sure I want to carry a shoulder bag around all day as that can get uncomfortable with a lot of equip. Curious what you carry and how easy it is to swap things around on the fly at shows like this?

Simple solution......... THINKTANK Belt, racing harness and pouches

Yeah I am SERIOUSLY considering something like that. I already have a couple nice lense cases that I have used on a stiff belt before, I was thinking about something like that. Seems much easier/faster than a backpack to change things around, though no where to carry a monopod/tripod if I wanted to...

ThinkTank works pretty well. I'd say you can hang the tripod off the back straps since they have a couple of "D" rings in the top. But its more suited for moving and shooting and changing lenses. Really good for changing lenses. Pop one off drop it in a pouch and grab another one. The little SPEED CHANGER bag (holds accessories, cards, etc) and the LIGHTNING FAST (holds flash) are really good.

You got me thinking with this. I actually have a couple Tamrac lense pouches I use on my backpack when I go hiking, I also have a lowepro misc organizer belt thing(like a speed changer), I think its really for film, so I was looking at the belts at the camera store today and realized they aren't anything much more than a gun belt.
So I dug through the closet and I found a belt and my lense pouches. I'm gonna head to the track tomorrow to play so I will "try" this setup, it doesn't have shoulder straps but its a start. If it works out I'll look into upgrading it.:)

Well this worked like a charm. I could use one more lense pouch for this but it worked fantastic. I hardly noticed it was there at all unless I was digging in my pockets. I think I will spring for one of the padded belts though for more comfort for a whole weekend. Just bouncing back and forth between the think tank and the tamrac belts.
