Does anyone know/recommend a software alternative to zoombrowser? I have stupidly misplaced my CDs that came with my DRebel (before I bought my laptop) and am tired of having the M$ import utility not giving me the option of choosing which DPI I want to bring my images in at (these images end up 180 with M$). Photoshop lets me import the images at 300 (my preference) but it takes soooo long to do so and I still have to save them individually. Is there anything that will let me import images from my Compact Flash cards AND let me choose the DPI for them?
Thanks for the help!

You can most likely download the software from the Canon website. Personally I just put the memory card into a card reader, plug it into the PC, and copy the RAW files off. If you shoot JPG the advantage of using zoom browser is it rotates the jpgs for you automagically.

Canon only has the upgrades on their site. You need an existing installation to apply them over. A lot of people use Breeze Browser or Capture 1. Any software that recognizes the "orientation" EXIF flag will be able to orient the JPEG correctly.

Thank you.
I will hopefully start shooting some RAW. Up until today I have only had a 256 card (just bought a 1gig). Since most of my shots are candid, I end up pressing the button a little too much for a small 256 card.
I will go take a peek at the stuff you suggested Jon.

In agreement with Jon,.. Breeze Browser is a great alternative,. (better in fact than Zoomrowser) you can downlaod a free 45 trial and see what you think. It uses Canon's own RAW converters.. and as such,. I recall one needs to install the Canon software? This could be only for the latest cametras that it is an issue?
On the other hand,. I have a full version of ZoomBrowser that I downloaded from Canon about a year ago when I purchased a used 1D with no CD included,. it took some time,. but I found all the software was availble for download on Canon's site. Has this changed? Dpp 1.5 was also available for download.
