Hi All, Just got my DREB and want to start getting back into Photography. Been a long time since I owned my Canon A1. Well Here is an experiment using DOF and the kit lens. Please give feedback. the details on the shoot are:Tv(Shutter Speed)
1/30, Av(Aperture Value) 5.6, Metering Mode Evaluative, Exposure Compensation
0, ISO Speed 800, Lens 18.0 - 55.0mm, Focal Length 55.0mm. Next time will set ISO lower to avoid undue noise. Like how this turned out, please be brutal.

I'm guessing you didn't use a tripod?
Would like to see the whole coin in focus at the very least. Need a smaller aperture for that. Say f/11 in this case. If you have a tripod give it a whirl, if not get more light.
I can see a bit noise in the dark area. You would have(as you did) to crank up the ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed to handhold this shot.
Good exposure.

Thanks for the feedback. Check out how narrow this DOF is.

Cool, I like yours. Been having a real fun time messing with DOF and seeing how narrow I can get it with my 18-55. What lens did you use?

70-200 2.8
I think I had some extension tubes as well.
Throws some tubes on and you get seriouly shallow depth of field.
