Living on the West Coast, most days are rain rain shower rain.

Just wondering... what are some of your favorite shots on rainy days when you still want to be outside shooting?

I'm trying to make a "photo of the week" every week. Here's my photo of the week of 23 January.

You can see the apartment block in the distance, warped by the raindrops on my window.

I didn't even need to go outside to make this photo....... ;)

Jesper that's cool.

I like to hit a butterfly house, though that gets tired after a while. Sometimes I sort through images and process them or process them better than last time. Or try to save what looks like a non-keeper.

Sad to say, I usually just don't go out on rainy days...

Welllllll....Imanewbie,

Several things you could do.

Get on one of those double decker buses and go site seeing.

Get a white umbrella and go into the forest. Get some macros of the rain dripping.

The crocuses must be blooming by now or people have the primulas out in window boxes.

Go out and take some candid shots of the misery of it all, (Incessant Rain).

You do have the infamous Butchart Gardens do you not. Even though not much is in bloom the backbones of the Garden are still pretty spectacular.

Go downtown to
"Big Bad Johns" and get some candid shots.

There is an eating establishment that is supposedly "Haunted"; perhaps you could get coffee cups flying off the trays  . Or better yet the actual ghost.

Equip yourself with the Ziploc Baggies to keep your gear dry and the "White" umbrella will also act as a light reflector.

Hope this helps ;)

hehehe...

funny you should mention it, I live right around the corner from that haunted restaurant

Ya there are lot of options out there... I was just wondering what everyone's faves are.

I'm heading down to China town one night this week, and it's sure to be raining then. Looking forward to it!

I've never done it, but Charlesu does it all the time: nude models in the studio.
