Auto focus on S330

Hi Guyz,

Just bought S330 yesterday and make this one my first digital camera.
I have some questions about that.


In LCD, there are three rectangular which, if I am not wrong, indicate the auto focus. Manual said that if there goes to green the focus is already correct (is ist true?)

Last night, indoor with fluorescent lighting, try to make shoot but it is difficult to make green for that rectangular. Once can make but not three of them, only one or two. Indicator near of viewfinder also turn into flashing orange (bottom one). Try to turn into manual mode but still have a problem.

Questions are :
1. What is the real function of those rectangulars?

2. Is it truely necessary that we have to take shoot by waiting green indication for those rectangulars?

3. What can I do for making the green indication every shoot?

If the manual said that if it goes green then it's true. It means focused. But sometimes not it means the camera difficult to focus and needs more light. Don't worry just try to have it focused and turned green. Sometimes you need patient.
If the orange light flashing means the camera ready to flash. The flash must be turned on, right? check it out....but if the flash turned off, the orange light wouldn't turned flashing.
You can take a shoot without waiting the indicator light turns green or the green rectangular appears on the LCD but you'll be dissappointed with the result. And if only one or two rectangulars appear on the left or right of the LCD means it focused in the left or right of the picture/frame.
