Don't get excited... this is my first attempt at macro.

I'll be honest, I always thought Macro was a bit of a cop-out style of photography. But having just acquired a set of Kenko Extension Tubes I've TOTALLY reversed that opinion. You guys (that are good at it) have a real skill. I have no idea how you capture living things whilst having to deal with such a microscopic DOF. You have my complete admiration.

Anyway I don't normally whack up my photos but would really appreciate any tips you guys can offer to improve my understanding and technique in this area.

Thanks!
This is dead by the way. I didn't kill it though.

not a bad shot just lacking light at the front but nice detail on the hairs. My first insect macro was a dead fly.

i just wrote this here http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=6226949&postcount=5
