I'm doing a series on old school barber shops. Here are a couple of photos. Would love some feedback. Thanks!

I love the first one. The second feels a little cluttered and the clients refelction is covered.

How about going back when it's dark so you can add more emphasis on the subject without the distraction of the bright sunshine outside?

Thanks for your feedback. Yea I wish I could have had the clients entire face in the shot too.

Reminds me of my barber when I was a kid. Perhaps I need a hair cut. I like the first one. THe composition on the second is a bit too cluttered for my taste.

Does that guy know the barber shaved his head? :)

I like the 1st one too - could do with a tad more contrast or maybe some noise to give a darker feel?

Nice shots.
what about being behind the barber, a bit elevated. Maybe standing on a chair. Then shoot over his shoulder .
It's an idea.

Just a thought, in those old barber shops the mood came mostly from the people interacting - a large window open as a view to lively city, and people sitting and chatting inside waiting for their turn. Now it seems to pretty "dead" somehow....

And also, "old" would suggest scissors, comb and razor, not electricity.
