no problem. I travelled to NY with my 40D and I asked the TSE guy and said only film should not be x-rayed. the digital is no problem at all.

As others have noted, there are no issues with camera gear and x-rays with the exception of high ISO film (probably not an issue for you).

I traveled a fair bit with 20D, 40D, numerous lenses, Speedlites and CF cards, all going through, sometimes several in a day, X-Ray machines and there was never a problem with any of them.

I have addressed this on my blog for traveling photogs, Flying With Fish (http://www.flyingwithfish.com), you can read up on the the myth (and yes it is only a myth) that an airport X-Ray scanner can affect your camera or image cards in this post: http://flyingwithfish.blogspot.com/2008/03/myth-x-rays-will-damage-your-image.html

I had my 70-200 2.8 IS in my carry on, and they thought it was some sort of pipe bomb  So the TSA lady did handle the lens a bit.

EF,
Actually the X-Rays Machines at most airports have trouble seeking through the 'big glass.' The elements reflect off and they have no idea what they are looking at.
This is why why I don't get stopped at airports I worry :0)

Yeah we had a nice little chit chat about that and how much the lens cost :)
I do appreciate the concern for safety though!

I fly with my gear pretty regularly, you won't have problems with the X-Ray. My roller bag is searched EVERY time though.
