I was in there last week looking for an Elan 7ne. All they had was the 7n, so I ended up ordering from B&H. They have a pretty good selection of L glass but they sell at the full MSRP. Even considering 2 day air delivery from B&H you can save quite a bit of money on big ticket items. Hope this helps.

I got a quoted price of $1300 for a lens that will cost me $1800 in Denmark.

If I order a lens from B&H then shipping cost, tax and duty are added to the price and the saved cost is not that big. The lens I am interested in cost $1150 incl shipping. When I receive it in Denmark I will have to pay additionally 7% duty + 25% tax ending at a total price of $1518 still less than in Denmark.

So even though the MSRP price is higher than in B&H I save a lot of money. If I were going to New York then I would definately buy at B&H.

Does that $1300 price they quoted include the local sales tax? I think it's around 7% but I'm not positive. But now that I think of it, even if it didn't, it'll still be cheaper than $1518 from B&H,

I don't remember, but if it is not then it would be $91 which still leaves a whole lot of saved money ;)
