Can any of you give me an idea of what to charge local real estate offices for going out and taking photos of their properties?
I would need to take inside/outside photos, do some PP on them and size them for the web.
To clarify, I live about 90 miles North of New York City. Most of the real estate offices are mom-and-pop.
Thank you!!!!!

Because you have a descriptive title, you can look at the "Similar Threads" links at the bottom-left of this page!
Each link you visit should provide more links at the bottom.

I haven't done that type of work in a very long time so I can't really tell you much except that I found real estate agencies in general to be a bit on the cheap side. Many of them use P&S cameras and do their own pictures.

And it shows. Make sure they know how important the photos are when you give them a price.

I would come up with a price that you are willing to work for...for example, if 10 pictures of interior/exterior of a property takes you 2-3 hours after travel and PP, then gauge how much you would be willing to work for. I would bring the idea up to a few agencies and offer your services to do a few houses for a cheap rate to see if your higher quality pictures actually start to bring them more business or more interest in a particular property. If they start to see an increase of interest in the properties with your pictures, then that should be all the proof they need to keep your services...at a higher rate none the less. Once you begin getting some stats, then you can go to other agencies and offer them your services at a good rate.
In my opinion, when we were house shopping, if the pictures of the house did not meet my expectations, then I would move onto the next property. The photos that a potential customer sees is going to be their first impression of the property, unless they see it on site.
I wish you the best.

I agree, and also make sure the vendor de-clutters the house before arrival...amazing how many don't have a clue.
