I took my 20D and 75-300mm IS out in public for the first time last weekend. It took me a while to get over being nervous about taking candid photos of strangers. But I think I caught a tender moment here that made the exercise worthwhile. This was available light at about 40 feet, big windows letting in a lot of sunlight. Unfortunately, I didn't record the data on the shot. :o

I believe that if you right click on the file in your browser window and go to advanced properties you should be able to view all the settings of the shot (shutter speed, aperture, focal length, etc.)

Nice pic, BTW

George, You DEFINITELY caught a precious moment between Father and Daughter. I'm thinking that if you would have bumped the ISO up to around 800 to give a smaller aperture with a faster shutter speed to acheive a deeper DOF and a bit more sharpness.
You've got the "Candid" part down. ;)
