I remember those days, they were not all that long ago. Nice photo but I agree with the other poster that the older compass doesn't quite fit. It seems as if it should be in a photo with an old leather cap and a scarf. Again I really like your picture and these types of photos in general. Below is one I took a little while ago while sitting around one day with nothing else to do. Not quite a nice as yours but I was trying for the same idea. Thanks for sharing.

I was trying for a Dreaming to Reality thing which is why I had the small toy Cessna, the old artificial horizon and the old compass.

It kinda mirrors my own path from fence hanger wannabe to actual certificated private pilot. Maybe I should have included some other aviation books like Fate Is The Hunter and such?
