First Photo Post, Comments Appreciated

This is my first time to post. Here's a picture I took of my wife and daughter recently. I used my Canon G6, natural lighting from a window and fill with my 420EX.

The settings were: 1/60s @ f/2.8, -1 1/3 ev + 1/3 flash compensation. It seemed to help in this situation, but I wasn't sure if exposure compensation worked that way on the G6?

Anyway, comments/critiques are welcomed! Also, any input you'd like to give on my other galleries at pbase would be greatly appreciated! I'm pretty new at photography and trying to learn.

Definitely a keeper. Maybe a little over-softened, but a very nice shot anyway.

I think you have captured a nice moment. The eyes on the little girl really hold you. Focus i would agree is a little too soft. Otherwise nice shot

I think I preferred it in b/w but I agree that the first one was way soft. Either way, nice work.
