In my humble opinion, I would lose the frontpage picture of her smoking. They're fine for the galleries, but I wouldn't put it on the first page. Again, just my opinion. Although, the photos are rather good and she's a beautiful model.

I'll second that. I think that the default photo from the old(?) site (sorry, couldn't resist checking the rest out) would be much better. If you are interested in horizontal filmstrips, check out pixelharmony's galleries. Other than the lack of a filmstrip "wrap" I really like how they are done.

asysin2leads - Is there a particular reason you don't like the picture of her smoking? Is it that she's smoking? Or you just don't like that picture for other reasons?

ilantis - I really like how they did it. In fact, I'd like to implement that. Just don't know how. I don't know Flash, and I'd really rather not pay someone $2,000 to design me a website when I could use that money on lenses? :)

I think that some people just HATE smoking and by having that up there you could turn away a few potential Customers.

Yes, it is simply because she is smoking. If you were targeting smokers, then I would say leave it. If you have a broad market, then I would lose it. It will offend some. There is really no commercial benefit to have that picture as your homepage. If a client is turned away, then the image had a negative impact on your business. Who knows, the person who is turned away could be ready to spend $15,000 on photos.
