RRS BH-40 and Gitzo GT1541T

Does anyone know if the RRS BH-40 ball head and the gitzo 1541T go well together? Someone told me only certain ballheads will fit well when the 1541t is folded.

Yes, it will be fine, but many will recommend you to go with Markins Q3 with that tripod.

I don't mean to intentionally make your decision harder, but for me the BH-40 is too big a head for the 1541T. I have a BH-40 on a GT 2541L and it fits great, and a BH-25 on my GT1540T which also fits good. However when I switch the BH-40 head over to the 1540T, I find the size of the head to be too large. It also prevents the legs from folding up properly. Don't get me wrong, you can pair them up, and they will work fine, but it just feels like an awkward union that interferes with the folding legs too much.
