Hi!
Recently I purchased some filters (ø 58mm), namely:
Hoya UV
Massa Macro +4 / +2 / +1
Massa CPL polarizing filterNow, I planned on using them with a Canon EOS 400D and the two lenses I currently own: a Canon EF-S 18-55mm and a 55-250mm IS.
All filters work perfectly with the 18-55mm, but the telezoom has a problem with pretty much all of them except for the UV one. Macro filters create a blurry glowing effect, while pictures taken with the polarizing filter seem just out of focus:
Polarizer (this is @ ISO100):

and

Does this have something to do with the number of glass elements in my lens? Or is there another explanation for this?
Any information or suggestions about what the problem might be are highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)
