From a guy it is to pink but I don't think I'm your target audience.

The pink part aside, I think you did a great job. It looks professionally done and the square JN part of the logo could also be used on its own in cases where the larger logo doesn't fit well.

I like it a lot.

the font with your name is hard to read. Other than that looking good.

It looks lovely but I had difficulty reading the font.

The only part that doesn't work for me is the strong dropshadow. Otherwise it looks great... but I love pink. :)

Can't read it, if I can't read it I can't find you to hire you. Pretty though.

Love it! Vibrant and simple. But as with a couple of others, took me a second or two to read your name. Would be better with a more simplified font.

The square logo is fine, just your actual name either side.

Looks amazing! Fantastic job!

But yeah, as others have stated, your name is a LITTLE hard to read. Maybe a slightly clearer font would work better?

HI, I really like it. I think you and I have the same taste in colors! I am working on a logo and my colors are the same! By the way, do you mind sharing what program you used? I have CS3. I actually have someone working on designing one for me, but I am also playing with it.

I agree, the font is hard to read and don't care for the drop shadow. Other than that I like it...even the pink.

thank you for the feedback everyone! I'll have to work on the font with my name And teeny, it was made in CS3 =)

I like the design, not the color, but the design is great.

I am a guy, and an OLD one. I like it and the pink is quite nice! My daughter forced me to say that.............

I like it. I think if you reduce it any more and the font will be really tough to read though, possibly even lost when printed at smaller sizes. Also the drop shadow ads nothing to this, loose it.

Julie, you are more talented with PS than I am.

Also, you should design logos in Illustrator since they are more easily scalable. Especially if you want vehicle graphics/signage later on down the road. :)

I use Photoshop myself, but then I design them huge from the beginning so they scale down well. But you can have some vector-based stuff in Photoshop now too which helps.

True, but the vectors files in Illy are WAY smaller than PS. :)

Well, when 1GB of space costs $0.14, it doesn't matter so much anymore :P

I think the drop shadow adds depth, i like it and it works very very well. Can't see why some of you guys have a problem with it. The only thing that needs sorting is the font type of her written name, maybe to the same as the word "photography".

It reminds me of the Hanes her way logo, to be honest... but it's cute. I agree with Tim that it's a little hard to read.

Logo looks great. The fonts are fine for me to read....and the drop shadow ...if you could reduced the opacity on it a bit then that might not be bad...
Other than that I really like it.

If I had a drink in my mouth, it would've spewed out......LOL! That's funny, not sure that's a good thing, but yes, funny ;) ;)

It looks great, I really like the simplicity of it and I think it fits your style perfectly. Did you make it yourself?

I came up with the JN in the squiggly box, the cursive font, the colors and the general design, but then I got a girl (brandy sink designs) to complete it. She got the flow and the final arrangement how I liked it. Thank you! I love hot pink and it does scream "JULIE" LOL

The color is great but the font is difficult to read.

I think it looks great! Very clear, easy to read, not too much going on to take away from the point of a logo.

looks nice, clean and simple!

obviously, from others posts, your name is kinda tough to read. ...and to back up what another said, keep in mind rescaling smaller for biz cards, etc...therefore clarity in your name is uber-important. though i see why you like the cursive font, ti may not be best in all uses.

I like the drop shadow, maybe lessen it's spread a bit to make the pink box cleaner.

looking like hanes her way isn't a bad thing (unless it's a complete copy of part of their design). having it look familiar to folks in some way is a plus.

good job and good luck!!

I too love the color, I don't think your name is THAT hard to read and as long as "Photography" is easily read I don't think it will matter - it looks cool like that.
I agree that using Illustrator will save you a pain in the future - vector graphic is much smoother. Great Job!

Looks great. Please post some real world uses of it on your business card and as a signature on a photo.
