My first time shooting a wedding as the primary photographer and boy was it hard. I had so many ideas in my head which I would love to have done but at many times through the day my mind went blank and I forgot everything, even forgetting that I had iso 1600 on when I was outside.
I didnt really appreciate how fast moving the wedding day is with everyone getting side tracked with things, and getting people organised and posed correctly is an art on its own.
From this experience I have a new found respect for wedding togs, to get the results that some of you guys on here get, really is amazing going, you really do have your work cut out big time IMHO.
I managed to process a few and here are some of them, thanks for looking!

I think you've done well mate !
I think the expressions on 3&4 don't help the image. When the bride is arriving, I've found maintaining a light and humourous banter keeps the face relaxed and moving and you'll find better faces as a result. If you let the moment hold in silence then some (nervous) brides will just seize up.

Very nice!
I am about to shoot my first paid wedding in about 5 hours and spent a lot of time yesterday practicing going from inside to outside and adjusting the ISO as quick as I could, so hopefully I won't forget it at the wedding!
Fortunately, I will have an assistant to help remind me.
I hope mine turn out half as good as yours.

I'm guessing the bride did not like to smile, correct? That's awfully hard on a photographer. Usually there is one or two groomsmen who are that way (at least in my experience.) These are beautiful images. Great work

Does anyone think the PP on these shots is ok?
Did I over do the vignetteing, or anything else?

I think you've done a really nice job with these. The only ones that I'd say were a "little much" would be #6 which looks oversaturated in the flowers. The vignette in #7 isn't really too much, but makes it look like you used a strobe that lit that area partially instead of really drawing attention to the subject. And I think the reason it doesn't draw as much attention to the subjects is that the sky is so light.

Wow, for real, what's with the expressions? It's not your fault, but in number 5 it looks more like a funeral than a wedding!
I think shots like #7 work well for a B&G that don't appear to like to be under the spotlight!

I hope you did well.... I have fallen in love with the 3 custom settings on my 40D. I will meter for the wedding shots and set that to 1, do a general meter outside and set that to 2, then do a reading for the altar returns and set that to 3. Then all I have to do is go from 1, to 2, to 3, and back to 2 for the leaving shot, and the system becomes idiot proof. Works great for me. Do not know how I got along without it before.
