If you use that as a criterion for whether to keep or cancel subscriptions, be prepared to save a bundle on them. I think I've seen their ads in virtually every US mass-market photo magazine and a fairly significant percentage of the computer ones. Magazine advertising departments don't ask the editorial staff whether to take someone's money. About the only magazines that vet their advertisers against strict internal standards are those from non-profits (Sierra, Animal Watch, Audubon for instance). The others are in business to make a profit, and ad revenues are a bigger contributor than subscription fees.
