Hey everyone, I'm in the process of wanting to buy my first Alien Bee lighting set, but I just cant decide on a color.

I want to know what everyone else favorite color is?
Whether it be you had already bought one or from just looking at them on the website.

Click that link and it will take you to what the color choices look like.

This is just meant to sort of bee fun and if anyone else can think of some alien type colors (create a new color with a name) post it.

Thanks!

Whites for weddings, blacks for other location work, fun colors for studio.

Mine are green and pink. :D Love them both, but really like the green.

I was planing on getting some Bees. I was going to get them all different colors. That way I can keep track when something starts to go wrong. Or if one just seems to be better than the others. Plus the different colors looks better than a number hand written on the side with a sharpie. Or a mailbox number.

Hmmmm I've never thought about numbering my lights... but they all have their own serial so that's good enough for me.

It really depends on how many you have. And how tiny the serial print is. Can you see the serial before you even take it out of the bag....knowing one is giving you trouble when running more than 3/4 power. So you only use it as a fill? Things like this are why I started numbering them. There is no question what light is witch. When you are pressed for time, even the few seconds it takes to fumble arround to read a serial number outdoors at 12:30 at night can be a hassle. (yes, my last shoot was really that late.)
