I started messing around with HDR and went crazy with this one. It's totally unrealistic but is it attractive to anyone or does it make you want to throw up? :D

In a way, it's sort of like a painting... depends on what you're trying to accomplish, really

It's a valid technique for special uses, & I kind of like it. Wouldn't want to see it too often though.
We used to do something similar with color separations from Ektachrome & a print proofing material called Color Key. Was a PITA, & PS is SO much easier now.

Hurts my eyes. I'm not sure one would call this an HDR technique.

Thanks for your input. I agree with Joe in that it kind of hurts my eyes too. I used three shots of this scene at 2 stops apart. I used cs3 to merge them in to an HDR picture. I then played around with the colors and sharpening to get what you see here.
